Since having been elected as the 60th Free Churches Moderator by the twenty-four Free Church denominations of England and Wales in September 2014, Hugh Osgood has given the Free Churches Group a key public presence. He also serves as one of the Presidents of Churches Together in England, maintaining links with a number of other key organisations.

The Role of the Moderator

About Hugh Osgood

Dr Hugh Osgood is a senior UK church leader, accomplished Bible teacher and preacher, and is known for his thoroughness combined with prophetic and practical insights. 

Hugh is passionate about equipping fellow leaders and for encouraging churches to engage with their communities. 

Over the years he has taught at many conferences with his sermons being widely broadcast on radio and TV. Much of this recorded material is now available to download for free as part of his commitment to increase biblical literacy worldwide.

He holds a number of national and international positions, being the Free Churches Moderator and a President of Churches Together in England, as well as being the Co-Chair of the UK Charismatic and Pentecostal Leaders’ Conference and serving as the founding President of Churches in Communities International.
