Ethnic diversity in children’s and youth ministry leadership
We are working in partnership with CYM on an exciting project to enhance ethnic diversity in children’s and youth ministry across our denominations and have received funding from Liverpool Hope University.
We have only 10 places available for a think-tank discussion about how to enhance ethnic diversity in children’s & youth ministry leadership.
Thursday 9th Oct, 9.30 am-1.30 pm at Free Churches House, 27 Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9HH.
Free of charge. Includes a free lunch!
We’d like to invite a range of people from Free Church denominations to join us to co-create a guide for churches. You don’t need to be an expert (but if you happen to be one, that’s great), but you do need to be passionate about working with children and young people. We want people who are willing to share their experience and ideas.
The aim is to create a framework sheet and some video snippets(from those who are willing to be video recorded – not essential!). The reason for doing this is because we repeatedly hear that ethnic diversity is often not very well represented in leadership of CYP ministries, at local or national church level. We hope that these resources will serve to guide and help churches, para-church organisations and denominations to better empower all and foster greater diversity in leadership of CYP ministries.
If you would like to attend, or are able to recommend someone else, please contact Sarah Lane Cawte (sarah.lane.cawte@freechurches.org.uk) as soon as possible.
