Training and conference for Higher Education Chaplains
CHELG (the Churches’ Higher Education Liaison Committee) holds training for new chaplains in Higher Education every year. This year it is taking place from 5th to 7th November at Manresa House in Birmingham. If you are new to HE chaplaincy, or can circulate the information to others who are starting out in this important area of ministry, this is a great opportunity to hear from others with experience, to visit other HE settings and hear about their chaplaincy work, and to connect with others.
Places are limited, so please contact Sarah Lane Cawte (sarah.lane.cawte@freechurches.org.uk) as soon as possible if you are interested in joining the training.
The CHELG annual conference for HE chaplains will be held from 7th to 9th January 2026, at High Leigh Conference Centre in Hoddesdon. This conference provides an invaluable opportunity to spend time with other chaplains, to hear from a range of speakers and to join a variety of workshops. Further information and a booking form will be available soon, but do contact Sarah if you would like to know more about this.
