Lincolnshire Agricultural Chaplain Person Specification
Lincolnshire Agricultural Chaplain Job Description
Lincolnshire Agricultural Chaplain Advert
Lincolnshire Rural and Agricultural Chaplaincy Charity
About Us: Our charity was founded in 2021 specifically to raise funds and provide support for rural chaplaincy work in Greater Lincolnshire. Over the last 3 years, we have run a fundraising appeal and fundraising events and have successfully raised over £350,000. The charity has also supported Marketing and PR to spread understanding of the work of rural chaplaincy. This includes a presence at major farming events around Lincolnshire, social media posts and development of a website. The website has been a tool for dissemination of information and also fundraising. Several events have been established in the calendar as regular chaplaincy services including a Rogation service on farm, the County Harvest Festival in Lincoln Cathedral and a Christmas Carol concert in the Bailgate Methodist Church in Lincoln.
The funds raised have largely been from the farming community and demonstrate the value that the community places on the continuance of a chaplaincy service. The work of the chaplain is wide ranging and has been captured through the four ‘C’s:
Care: Pastoral care around the County normally in conjunction with the Lincolnshire Rural Support Network
Connections: Making vital connections between people and organisations to enhance the work that others are doing
Catalyst: Acting a springboard for action
Champion: an independent voice for the rural community. Speaking out on behalf of those that are disadvantaged without fear or favour.
Our funds are now at a level where we are able to grow the team with a further part-time position with funding secured for a minimum 3 year period.
